Meet Chad! Chad started playing trombone in 5th grade. The trombone captured his attention with its size, and with the buzzing of a mouthpiece. Chad is in 11th grade at Warren Mott HS, and he plays in the Big Band, Symphonic Band, and Marching Band! Chad's favorite aspect of playing music is the feeling of accomplishment. His experience of practicing a piece, and seeing how putting in the time pays off is his biggest reward.
Meet Miranda! Miranda began playing flute in 5th grade, and added the oboe in 8th grade. She played oboe all through out high school for concert band while marching with the flute and piccolo. Miranda loved band, and to this day she purchases her favorite music (anything Disney :D) to play at home on her flute for fun!
Hi Friends! Meet Duffy! Duffy joined our team this Fall after itching to get back into a world where he's surrounded by music. Duffy began his musical journey at the age of 14. He and his friends decided the best way to meet girls would be to form a band and play an instrument! And so Duffy picked up the bass guitar. He and his band have been together ever since. They gigged first at their high school dances, and have played many other venues to this day. Duffy loves music and doesn't know what he'd do without it. Welcome to the A&G crew, Duffy!
Meet Paul! We are excited he has chosen to join the A&G Central Music team as an instrument repair technician! Paul has been involved with school music since beginning band in 4th grade where he played the alto saxophone. Since then, he's added the bass guitar and electric guitar to his repertoire. He played in jazz band, concert, and marching band. Paul attended Ohio University graduating with a BA in Music, then attended Minnesota State College Southeast - Red Wing to study Band Instrument Repair. Paul continues to play music on both his saxophone and his guitar. Join us in welcoming this talented musician and instrument repair technician! #iplayhere
Meet Jeff! We're excited to welcome Jeff to the A&G Central Music team! He's been involved with music for his entire life. In fifth grade, he began his musical journey on the tuba. From that moment on, he was hooked. Jeff played in school band throughout high school and into college. He studied music at Ball State University, Ohio State University, and Arizona State!
After receiving his music education degree from Ball State and studying tuba performance at Ohio State, Jeff returned to his alma mater, Ball State, and taught for seven years. After teaching, Jeff went into sales. He became a low brass specialist.
Today, Jeff is still involved with music. He plays in the Detroit Brass Society Quintet, and he plays here!
