Hey Gang, 

We are super excited to share some news with you! Last Friday, during NAMM's Top 100 dealer awards show, we received the "Music Makes A Difference" award for our work in removing financial barriers that prevent kids from participating in music programs. Then we were named "Dealer of the Year"!!! I don't have the words to express our gratitude to all of you for  supporting our efforts and for trusting us as a partner in your musical endeavors. You make it possible for us to do what we love every day. For that, I humbly say thank you.

We are both honored and humbled by our selection to the NAMM Top 100, for the second year in a row!! Each year NAMM, the global association of music products and music retailers, selects the top 100 music dealers from the approximately 10,300 Member companies located in more than 103 countries. An independent panel of judges reviewed the submissions and rated them across categories that included customer service, music advocacy, store design and promotions. We are grateful to be included in a group of amazing companies dedicated to helping others find their voice through music. We truly love what we do each day, and thank you for letting us share our passion for music making with you.

A & G Central Music in Madison Heights Named One of the Top 100 Music Stores in the World

Madison Heights MI -April 26, 2016 A & G Central Music in Madison Heights MI has been named a Top 100 Dealer by the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM), the global association of music products and music retailers. The organization will recognize A & G Central Music on Friday, June 24 at the Top 100 Dealer Awards event held as part of the 2016 Summer NAMM Show in Nashville, Tennessee.

"A & G Central Music was selected by a discerning panel of judges as one of the very best among music retailers,” said Joe Lamond, NAMM President and CEO. “This special recognition signifies A & G Central Music's commitment to providing an excellent retail experience for their customers, helping people of all ages discover the joys and benefits of making music, and to fostering a positive musical experience for their community at large.”

Dubbed the ‘retail Oscars’ by Music Inc. magazine, NAMM’s Top 100 Dealer Awards spotlights the industry’s very best music product retailers.To determine the list, an independent panel of judges reviewed hundreds of submissions that are rated across categories that include customer service, music advocacy, store design, and promotions and are scored in accordance to determine the Top 100 list.

" We're a service company in the business of providing opportunity for young students to explore the world through music.  There's a lot of joy in what we do every day.  I think that comes through in our support of local school music programs and in the experience our customers have when they visit us.  It is humbling to be chosen as a top 100 music dealer in the world,"  said Robert Christie, President, A & G Central Music.

In addition to its honor as a Top 100 Dealer, A & G Central Music will be in consideration to receive a “Best Of” Award recognizing stand-out achievement in the following categories: Store Turnaround, Customer Service, Store Design, Marketing and Sales Promotion, Online Engagement, Emerging Dealer/Rookie of the Year, and the Music Makes a Difference award.  The coveted Dealer of the Year award will go to one of the recipients in the aforementioned categories.
